Job Overview

We’re hiring a highly skilled IT Support Field Engineer who can manage PC, server, and network environments with confidence. You’ll handle installations, configurations, and support across client sites, with strong expertise in Microsoft 365 and cloud environments. Most of your work will be onsite, supporting clients directly and ensuring their systems run smoothly.

This role is hands-on, field-based, and built for someone who enjoys owning the outcome.

Key Responsibilities

1. PC & End-User Support

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 environments.

  • Diagnose and repair hardware components for PCs, laptops, and peripherals.

  • Maintain strong endpoint security through antivirus/anti-malware tools.

2. Server & Infrastructure Support

  • Install, configure, and support Windows Server 2016 or newer.

  • Configure AD, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.

  • Work with VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V for virtualization.

  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.

3. Networking Expertise

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot switches, routers, and access points.

  • Apply deep knowledge of TCP/IP, Subnetting, VLANs, and VPNs.

  • Configure basic firewall rules and follow security best practices.

  • Diagnose and resolve LAN/WAN connectivity, performance, and latency issues.

4. Cloud & Microsoft 365 Administration

  • Set up and administer Microsoft 365 tenants through the Admin Center and Entra ID (Azure AD).

  • Manage user provisioning, licensing, groups, and full lifecycle processes.

  • Handle Exchange Online mailboxes, routing, anti-spam settings, and mail flow.

  • Support SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams.

Qualifications

Field Readiness

Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation, with the flexibility to visit client sites regularly.

Problem-Solving

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues across diverse environments.

Customer Service

Professional and patient communication when supporting clients and non-technical users.

Communication

Clear verbal and written communication for client updates, documentation, and team coordination.

Work Ethic

Ability to work independently, manage service queues, and prioritise urgent field tasks effectively.

Preferred

  • 5+ years of field service or IT support experience.

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft 365 Administrator.
